Qoute- "Are those who idolize above all things and those who depose alike. " -Matt Groening
this quote describes the Simpson
The Simpsons shorts from The Tracey Ullman Show that first aired on January 15, 1989. this was the start of a huge legacy that Matt Groening will leave behind. the simpsons animation has increased rapidly since then. Animation is a very important part in this show. its what make everything we see.
In Season 14, production switched from traditional cel animation to digital ink and paint. When someone says the word "cartoon," what we see in our head is usually cel animation. Cartoons today rarely use the pure cel animation of the past, instead employing computers and digital technology to help streamline the process. In other words instead of having people drawing out the cartoons we got computers to do the work for us. this made life so much easier for the creaters to produce there work.
Many poeple wonder where the characters were inspired from. Well for example The Krusty the Clown, well he was inspired by rusty nails. Rusty nails was another famous tv clown. The Simpsons creator Matt Groening and director Brad Bird watched as children while growing up in Portland, Oregon. Groening describes Rusty Nails as being a sweet clown whose show sometimes had a Christian message to tell.
His old cartoons sucks, seeing them now. The new simpsons have so much advancemances since 1989. I learned how an idea combined with animations can grow to become something really remarkable.Simpons graphic were poor when they started but now you can see so much more new detial.
Since animation is done computer wise, technology has shown many advantages since the switch from cell animation and digital. for example shadowing a character can easily be done with the click of a button instaed of going threw a compicated prossess of shading each character by hand. The same goes for recreating or coloring the character. this make the whole animation process so much easier.
In conclusion I hope you found this as interesting as i did and also hope that maybe you might of learned a little something about animation. Its a very extordinary field that is advancing rapidly. As for the simpsons they'll allway be remember even after the show stops producing, as the family we all grew up with.
