maya says NO....

occurring problems- My helmet status is in the same condition with the rest of the class but it  is not in the same condition scheduled to be in. there are problems that i have come a-crossed. first the selection of the egdges are not able to be done because maya says no. also the bridging of the to pieces is not working becuase maya says no. the root of this problem is my border edge it for some reason dose not allow me to start the selection leave some lines blue. it also can not be deleted and replaced because maya says no...
